Jim Caviezel greets Cardinal Stanislaw Dzwisz. The retired Archbishop of Krakow was John Paul II ‘s long time personal assistant and a prominent interview in the film.

More than 10,000 posters of the film were distributed across Polish parishes leading to a groundswell of public awarenss before the national TV premiere.

Caviezel enjoys a moment of reflection in the private chapel of the Archbishop’s residence where John Paul II was ordained a priest.

Caviezel visited the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy at the Divine Mercy Sanctuary. He also narrated the Knights of Columbus produced film The Face of Mercy which premieres in Poland later this month.

Jim Caviezel visits Warsaw’s Piłsudski Square (previously Victory Square). The Cross commemorates Pope John Paul II’s iconic visit here in 1979 when he famously cried out “Let your Spirit descend! Let your Spirit descend! And renew the face of the earth. The face of this land!”
